REF.Samsung Double Head Sensor :AFTC-SNR-010.
The image shows an AFTC-SNR-010 Samsung Double Head Sensor, a specialized thermistor assembly used for precise temperature monitoring in Samsung “No Frost” refrigerators.
Technical Product Details
- Part Number: AFTC-SNR-010.
- Sensor Type: Dual NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) Thermistors.
- Dual-Head Configuration:
- Copper Head Probe: Used specifically for evaporator tube temperature sensing due to copper’s high thermal conductivity. It monitors frost buildup and controls the defrost heater.
- Plastic/Epoxy Head Sensor: Typically used to monitor ambient air temperature within the refrigerator or freezer compartment to regulate overall cooling.
- Connector: Features a white multi-pin connector plug for direct attachment to the refrigerator’s main control board.
- Function: This dual system provides real-time data to the control board to balance cooling between zones, optimize energy efficiency, and manage adaptive defrost cycles.
Symptoms of a Faulty Sensor
Replacing this dual sensor assembly is a common fix for:
- Inconsistent Temperatures: The fridge is too cold while the freezer is too warm (or vice versa).
- Frost Overload: Thick ice building up on the back panel because the defrost heater isn’t activating.
- Error Codes: Specifically Samsung error codes like 5C, 22C, or EC, which often indicate a thermistor failure.
- Continuous Running: The compressor stays on constantly because it’s not receiving accurate temperature feedback.📞 Contact & Procurement Details
